Betws-y-Coed is the impossibly pretty village to visit in 2022
Fans of all things pretty should look to Wales for a holiday next year as the staycation spot is home to one of Britain's pretties villages, Betws-y-Coed.
Sitting beautifully on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park and a stop on Good Housekeeping's exclusive Welsh rail tour, it's as magical as a village in Wales gets and is like a postcard from an Alpine setting.
Located in North Wales, where an abundance of activities await, nearby you can experience a ride on the fastest zip line in the world, follow the walking and mountain biking trails of the surrounding Gwydyr Forest Park and take a ride on the Mount Snowdon train for some of the best views in Britain.
In Betws-y-Coed, the delightful mountain village in the Conwy Valley is where four rivers converge and you can take in the spectacle of tumbling waterfalls on the historic Pont y Pair Bridge, visit that actually-rather-charming Ugly House and its tea room, and marvel at the amazing Swallow Falls.
A stroll around the picture-perfect village will take you past craft shops and cafes (be sure to stop at cake shop Cwmni Cacen Gri for Welsh cakes), as well as cute houses.
If you're visiting with kids, you can venture underground on an adventure at Go Below Underground Adventure Challenge or visit the Conwy Valley Railway Museum.
However you choose to spend your time in Betws-y-Coed, it's sure to be a staycation you'll never forget and is perfect for combining with Snowdonia, Portmeirion and the Ffestiniog Railway.
You can experience them all, including Betws-y-Coed, on Good Housekeeping's exclusive Welsh rail tour in April 2022.
