With Eilish's snap exceeding 17 million likes, it's now in the top 10 of the most-liked Instagram posts ever.

Eilish had teased that a new colour was on the horizon as she had previously written on a story: “Can you guess what color?”

While The Bad Guy hitmaker's black and green hair had become something of a trademark, she has previously sported colours such as blue, silver and violet over the years.

At the Grammy Awards on Sunday she was pictured with the two-tone hair.

Eilish and her brother and collaborator Finneas also took to the stage during the ceremony to perform a rendition of Everything I Wanted.

In her acceptance speech for Record of the Year, Eilish said she was "embarrassed" to win as she believed it should've gone to Megan Thee Stallion who was nominated for her song Savage, featuring Beyonce.

Megan Thee Stallion, real name Megan Pete, did win the prize for Best Rap Song and Performance with Savage and was also named Best New Artist.
