Yahoo Finance Blake Lively Follows the “Renaissance” Dress Code in a Jacket Dripping With Sequins
Blake Lively is clearly taking style cues from a certain “Alien Superstar.”
Tonight, the Gossip Girl alum made an appearance at the London premiere for Beyoncé's forthcoming Renaissance World Tour concert film. Beyoncé's love of everything silver, chrome, and metallic has been no secret ever since she entered her Renaissance era, with fans and celebrities alike often wearing blinged out attire to attend her sold-out stadium shows. Lively is no exception—though she made the dress code her own.
The actor cut a gorgeous figure in a black Chanel set composed of a structured black jacket and a matching black miniskirt. The jacket featured clasps over the bust and a revealing cut down the center of the torso, as well as a jagged hemline dripping in molten silver sequins. Lively paired the all-black outfit with transparent black accessories, including transparent tights and transparent gloves. Finally, she completed the look with glossy black platform Mary Janes and an array of silver jewelry, including layers of chain necklaces and chandelier earrings.
Lively's BFF Taylor Swift also showed up to the London event. The “Anti-Hero” singer evoked Old Hollywood glamor in a dazzling silver gown with a thigh-high leg slit, paired with chandelier earrings and her signature bright red lip.
As for the Queen B herself, Bey made a rare red-carpet appearance while wearing a bedazzled black blazer dress with a dramatically long train, a plunging V-neckline, and an eye-popping center leg slit. The slit rises above her pelvic area, revealing a golden embroidered design on the piece's matching black underwear.
