After a year where the concept of a live red carpet ceased to even exist (for very good reason, we may add), the return of actual celebrities wearing actual designer gowns at an actual real life film premiere is almost too exciting to handle. Deprived of a couture strewn Met Gala, OTT celebrity weddings and a fully-fledged fashion week, our need for pure fashion realness was, well, real.
Thankfully, Blake Lively just served up a whole load of next level celebrity opulence and we are here for it.
The actor stepped out for the premiere of husband Ryan Reynold's latest movie, Free Guy channelling major Serena Van der Woodsen showstopping glamour in a pink sequinned Prabal Gurung gown. But, that's not the best bit. Lively completed her gilded ensemble with even more embellishment - we're talking diamond necklaces in her hair. Yes, really.
The 33-year-old took to Instagram to show off her updo that was braided with actual diamond necklaces by jeweller Lorraine Schwartz. Lively turned to go-to hairstylist Rod Ortega who wove diamond and gold chains throughout her chunky boho plait for a seriously high end twist on the low key look.
Gobstopper-sized clusters of diamond cocktail rings also by Lorraine Schwartz and delicate milky nails adorned with dried flowers by nail artist Enamelle completed the extravagant look. Now this is the celebrity escapism we've been waiting for.
Later in the evening, the mum of three took to Instagram once again to reveal an alternative version of her bling braid - a loosely tousled ponytail, complete with diamond necklaces of course. Lively dubbed the second look a 'diamond pony', and, in true Blake and Ryan style, joked about the term becoming her new stage name.
Forget ribbons, from now on, we'll only be embellishing our plaits with diamonds, thank you very much.
