U.S. election limbo has Canadians on edge, offering 'emotional support' to Americans

While the election is taking place south of the border, it’s fair to say most Canadians are tuned in and watching how the U.S. has voted.

As the results start to give us a clearer idea of what’s happening there’s a real strong feeling that Florida may not be the best vacation destination anymore.

With Florida seemingly like a long shot as the vote totals which came out of Miami-Dade County were underwhelming for the Biden campaign, there was a feeling that Ohio could flip back to a Blue state.

With Ohio looking to sway to the Democrats, it seems that Biden and company have been well received in Texas, too. The longtime Republican stronghold shows a slight lead for the challenger, to the surprise of some who didn’t know it was in play.

While people who maybe haven’t studied the polls as much are nervous about the results in Florida, Texas and other places, FiveThirtyEight predicted the election would come down to some of the central and western states.

Within moments of polls reporting in New York, news channels began calling it a win for Biden, which led to some funny tweets.

One of the places where the focus has been on from both sides is Pennsylvania, and in some counties, and it’s fair to say that there are concerns north of the border.

While oddsmakers have shifted to Trump as the favourite just after 10 p.m., the waiting game begins for many anxious people. Biden’s pathway to victory is slimming at a rapid pace.

As people wait for absentee ballots to be counted, there is nervousness which has led to some people tweeting about their desires to move to Canada.
