Bold new look? ASOS sorry for using bulldog clips on dress in sales photo

Online fashion retailer ASOS has apologised for leaving two bulldog clips on a dress for sale on their website.

The clips were left on a £35 navy blue cami dress and the oversight prompted a mixed reaction on Twitter.

Some users asked why such a large company did not have clothing in the correct size for models while others criticised the company for making it difficult for buyers to assess how well clothing would fit.

The clips were also described as an "interesting design detail" or a "bold new look".

The photo was spotted by a Twitter user @xronnieanna, who wrote to ASOS: "Think you forgot to edit those clips out".

The online fashion retailer replied in a tweet: "Hi Ronnie, thank you for raising this with us.

"We're sorry to hear the clips are showing in the picture.

"We'll now raise this with our specialist team."

The clips were later removed from the picture.
