Boots closures: The full list of opticians shutting down in the UK
In July Boots announced it will close 48 opticians and cut 4,000 jobs after being hit hard by the coronavirus pandemic and lockdown.
The decision comes after retail sales tumbled by 48% in the face of the pandemic, despite Boots keeping swathes of its stores open to customers.
Meanwhile, its opticians business saw sales dive by 72%.
Sebastian James, boss at Boots UK, said at the time: "The proposals announced are decisive actions to accelerate our transformation plan, allowing Boots to continue its vital role as part of the UK health system, and ensure profitable long-term growth."
