Borat, Sacha Baron Cohen’s infamous character, has taken pro-Trump channel OAN to task in a new clip.

The video was unveiled on Friday from Borat’s Twitter account. In the clip, Baron Cohen, doing a voiceover as Borat, claims that OAN – also known as One America News Network – took his daughter “into the White House”, “no need for security checks or Covid test”.

The video features actor Maria Bakalova, who stars in the newly released Borat sequel as the titular character’s daughter, Tutar.

Bakalova/Tutar is seen alongside OAN correspondent Chanel Rion entering what appears to be the White House press briefing room.

The clip also includes a brief sequence in which Tutar asks Rion: “Why is all the fake journalist for the left and none on the right?” That exchange appears to be taking part outside the West Wing with a Marine standing guard, which usually means the president is present inside the building.

Tutar also appears in a different outfit, with a different hairstyle, clapping as Donald Trump, his son Donald Trump Jr, and the latter’s partner Kimberly Guilfoyle address a crowd. Tutar is then seen meeting Trump Jr, telling him “I’m a little bit nervous but I’m really excited to meet you.”

“Thank you very much,” Trump Jr tells her in the edited video. “Appreciate it. Good to meet you.”

The Independent has contacted OAN and Rion for comment.

The Borat sequel, titled Borat Subsequent Moviefilm, is out now on Amazon Prime.
