BP brings Rotterdam oil refinery maintenance forward to May - traders

LONDON, May 17 (Reuters) -

* BP has brought forward a planned turnaround on the 200,000 barrel per day crude unit (CDU3) at its Rotterdam, Netherlands, oil refinery to May, traders said.

* The shutdown was originally planned for October.

* The unit was taken offline on May 16, industry monitor Genscape said.

* The maintenance on the CDU, along with a 29,000 bpd reformer and other units, is expected to last for 4-6 weeks, traders said.

* BP declined to comment.

* The refinery has a capacity to process 377,000 bpd of crude. (Reporting by Ahmad Ghaddar, Shadia Nasralla and Ron Bousso; Editing by Jan Harvey)
