Bp Whiting refinery second largest crude unit shut - sources

HOUSTON, Feb 25 (Reuters) - The second-largest crude distillation unit at BP Plc's 413,500 barrel per day (bpd) Whiting, Indiana refinery was shut on Wednesday morning due to a malfunction, said sources familiar with plant operations.

No time has been set for restarting the 110,000 bpd crude unit, which is undergoing unplanned repairs, the sources said.

Energy industry intelligence service Genscape reported shut down on Wednesday morning. (Reporting by Erwin Seba)
