Breaking: Intercontinental Exchange Makes Offer for EBay - Report
Investing.com – Intercontinental Exchange, the owner of the NYSE, has made a bid for auction site eBay (NASDAQ:EBAY), The Wall Street Journal reported Tuesday.
ICE (NYSE:ICE) has made approaches in the past for a deal and there are currently no formal talks, the Journal said.
ICE) is interested in eBay’s core marketplace business, which eBay) would be willing to sell, the paper said.
Shares of eBay jumped 9.7% in afternoon trading. ICE fell 3%.
