Brian McFadden has revealed he once knocked himself out while trying to hurl a TV out of a window, suggesting being a pop star maybe isn't all it's cracked up to be.
In an interview for the new book Westlife Uncovered (reported in The Sun's Bizarre column), McFadden shared the embarrassing story from the band's heyday.
"I went to the minibar, opened it and drank ten of those little bottles straight through, then all the beer," the 40-year-old singer admitted.

He continued: "Then I tried to lift up the telly. I wanted to throw it out the window, and it fell on my head.
"I was trying to be a rock star. But it fell a***ways, and I did – that’s how I fell asleep. I went to work the next day and the guys thought: 'he’s gone mad'."
McFadden also revealed in the interview that he was offered a huge deal to rejoin Westlife for their upcoming farewell tour, but that his former bandmates were responsible for vetoing his involvement.
He said: "How does that make me feel? It makes me pretty upset because I didn’t realise they still had those feelings towards me."

McFadden left Westlife in 2004 and pursued a solo career, achieving success with tracks like Real to Me and his duet with Delta Goodrem on Almost Here.
He subsequently toured with Boyzone member Ronan Keating and then more recently with Keating's bandmate Keith Duffy as supergroup Boyzlife.
Since leaving Westlife, McFadden has competed on numerous reality TV shows, appearing as a judge on Australia's Got Talent and competing on The Jump and Dancing On Ice.

McFadden is now expecting a baby with fiancée Danielle Parkinson via IVF, following two miscarriages.
The singer told OK! Magazine last year that he experienced the "worst sinking feeling ever" when he found out his partner had lost their baby.
He added: "If we want to get pregnant we have to be positive, I really believe that. When you have a positive mental attitude it affects your body."
The star has two daughters from his marriage to Atomic Kitten singer Kerry Katona.
