Brody Jenner Reveals He Never Hooked Up With Lauren Conrad on 'The Hills'

Well, this is sure to break plenty of Hills fans' hearts.

Fans of the 2006 MTV hit will remember Brody Jenner's sweet romance with Lauren "LC" Conrad, but in a new interview with Yahoo! Style, he admits he never actually hooked up with the 29-year-old fashion entrepreneur.

"A lot of that show was scripted," Brody says. "We didn't have an actual script. I would say [it's] improv. They gave us a situation, and Lauren's a dear friend of mine, and it was pretty funny trying to live that reality of you know, you read the magazines and they're like, 'Brody and Lauren!' and we were just friends. Literally, we would film a scene of us kissing and being in this lovey-dovey scene, and then right after it'd be like, 'Cut!' and we'd be like, 'OK, good to see you,' and go our separate ways."

Brody, now 31, says his player reputation on the show was the hardest to deal with.

"I didn't screw every single girl on the show," he laughs. "I didn't have sex with Jen Bunny. I didn't hook up with Audrina. I didn't hook up with any of those girls, and then you get all these people saying, 'Oh he's a man whore, he sleeps with all these girls,' when in actuality I didn't do that."

As for Spencer Pratt's much hated role and his subsequent erratic behavior, Brody says the 31-year-old reality star at first planned all of it, but it eventually spiraled out of his own control.

"[Spencer] manifested his own destiny," Brody shares. "He said, 'I want to be the biggest villain in the world. I want people to hate me.' ... He creates all that drama. But then it all caught up to him. He would drive down the street and people would throw things at him, and yell things at him, and that's when he bought all the guns and became paranoid and all that, but he's good now."

Brody says he doesn't keep in touch with any of his former MTV costars, though he'd be totally up for a Hills reunion movie.

The former Princes of Malibu star's candid admission is of course not the first time Hills has been outed as a fake reality show. The show itself alluded to it during its 2010 series finale, when the camera panned to reveal a Hollywood set. Kristin Cavallari also called the guilty pleasure "pretty fake" during her appearance on Watch What Happens Live in 2012.

"Fake relationships, fake fights," she said about her time on the show. "It was fun, 'cause you're acting. And that was more fun for me."

Still, she insisted that the original Laguna Beach drama between her and LC over Stephen Colletti was actually real.

In February, Heidi Montag stirred up some drama when she said she forgave LC for "trying to ruin [her] life" during a dramatic episode of WE's Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars. Watch below:
