Browns beat Steelers but fight mars tense win

In a game marred by the ugly action that it ended in, the Browns got a much needed 21-7 win after beating the Bills in game week 10.

While the Browns managed to put their losing streak behind them, picking up a second win in as many weeks, this AFC North clash will be remembered for a brutal brawl towards the end of the fourth quarter.

Cleveland defensive end Myles Garrett ripped the helmet off Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph, before striking his opponent with it as other teammates began to pile in.

The incident occurred after a hit by Garrett on Rudolph that he took exception to. The Steelers man grabbed Garrett by the helmet, with Garrett – who was ejected from the game – doing the same in reply but managing to remove Rudolph’s helmet in the process.

Before that, Baker Mayfield threw two touchdowns and scored on a one-yard rush to lead their team to a second win in a row after losing four on the spin.

The Steelers managed to lose their top biggest attacking threats as James Conner and JuJu Smith-Schuster both left the field in the second quarter after picking up injuries. With his weapons significantly reduced, Rudolph ended up throwing four interceptions.

That was only exacerbated when Diontae Johnson, the rookie wideout from Toledo, was concussed by a huge hit from safety Damarious Randall – another player who was ejected.

Browns running back Nick Chubb continued his excellent season, with 92 yards that took him over 1,000 for the campaign.

The Browns managed to secure the game when linebacker Joe Schobert intercepted Rudolph for the final time of the night, before running the ball to the Steeler nine-yard line.

Now with the ball, Mayfield found Stephen Carlson on third down, with the tight end leaping above Steelers linebacker Mark Barron to ice the game.

Cleveland were well up at the time and now go to 4-6 for the season, and leaving their divisional rivals on 5-5. The teams will meet again in a little of two weeks in what should prove to be a fiercely contested encounter once again.
