Bullish insiders at Conduit Holdings Limited (LON:CRE) loaded up on US$1.6m of stock earlier this year

It is usually uneventful when a single insider buys stock. However, When quite a few insiders buy shares, as it happened in Conduit Holdings Limited's (LON:CRE) case, it's fantastic news for shareholders.

While insider transactions are not the most important thing when it comes to long-term investing, we do think it is perfectly logical to keep tabs on what insiders are doing.

The Last 12 Months Of Insider Transactions At Conduit Holdings

The Independent Non-Executive Director Kenneth Randall made the biggest insider purchase in the last 12 months. That single transaction was for UK£249k worth of shares at a price of UK£4.52 each. That means that even when the share price was higher than UK£3.20 (the recent price), an insider wanted to purchase shares. It's very possible they regret the purchase, but it's more likely they are bullish about the company. In our view, the price an insider pays for shares is very important. As a general rule, we feel more positive about a stock if insiders have bought shares at above current prices, because that suggests they viewed the stock as good value, even at a higher price.

Another way to test the alignment between the leaders of a company and other shareholders is to look at how many shares they own. So What Do The Conduit Holdings Insider Transactions Indicate?

It's certainly positive to see the recent insider purchases. And the longer term insider transactions also give us confidence.
