Bundesbank sees German banks halving their dividend plans

FRANKFURT (Reuters) - Large German banks will be able to pay roughly half the amount they had earmarked for dividends after a coronavirus-crisis ban on payouts was eased this week, Bundesbank board director Joachim Wuermeling told Reuters.

"The effect on large banks can be summarised as follows: they will be able to carry out roughly half of the original plans," Wuermeling said in an interview.
