Yahoo Finance Busted open up about changing fanbase as they prepare for Greatest Hits tour
It’s been 20 years since Busted first hit the scene with 'What I Go To School For', and the three-piece band are back to celebrate the milestone anniversary.
Charlie Simpson, Matt Willis and James Bourne are heading on a Greatest Hits tour, as well as releasing a new album featuring all new re-recordings of their essential tracks.
But having been around for 20 years, the group discussed if their fanbase was now just 20 years older, or if there were new faces looking back at them in the crowds.

"There are fans at my son's school that are genuine Busted fans, and they are 7 years old," Masked Singer winner Charlie said.
"I find that really interesting because you think, is this something that will grow above its age and kids won’t get it? But kids do get it.
"I went to see Metallica the other day and there was a 10-year-old kid, and you could see the kid, the dad and the grandpa. It’s three generations, it’s cool."
James added: "I like bands that have been bands since before I was born because I don’t know the band or the story, I just love the songs.
"A song is a song, it’s a three-minute piece of music that anyone can discover at anytime.
"A song like 'Year 3000', I can completely understand why if a kid heard that song today, they’d like it just the same as a kid 20 years ago."

And if you go and see the band, can you expect a 2000s nostalgia pack with the group back in their school uniforms with gelled hair?
"There was a moment I thought about it a few months ago where I thought, ‘Do I shave my head or do I add the stripe back in?’," Matt said.
"But then I thought, ‘You’re 40, you have to pick your kids up from school, you will feel like a dickhead’.
"But for the tour, who knows. I still have my school uniform jacket!"
