BUZZ-BP to close 105,500 bpd Spanish oil refinery for works - company and sources

* BP Plc will close its 105,500 barrel per day (bpd) Castellon, Spain, oil refinery for roughly a month of maintenance work, sources told Reuters
* A BP spokeswoman confirmed that maintenance would be taking place, but declined to comment on the time frame or units involved
* Source said the refinery would close from next week and remain shut until roughly Nov. 18 for work on the crude distillation unit and fluid catalytic cracker. The refinery has just one crude unit, so work on it was expected to shut other units as well
* In June, Amec Foster Wheeler (Other OTC: AMCBF - news) announced that it had won an engineering contract to revamp the vacuum distillation unit (VDU) at the refinery to "increase the value of oil products"
