** Final touches are being put to an offer from a new suitor to buy up Carillion’s shares and give the operator access to the firm’s London listing - City A.M.

** Carillion has lost 75 percent of its market value since mid-July when it booked an 845 million pound ($1.1 billion) writedown on problematic construction contracts announced the departure of its chief executive
