** Shares of Crest Nicholson Holdings up ~7.5 pct; on track for best single day pct gain in over 3-mnths

** Peter Truscott to join the board as CEO in succession to Patrick Bergin who is not standing for re-election on March 26

** Truscott to join Crest after cessation of his contract with Galliford Try PLC (-1.6%) which is expected to be in Sept. 2019

** Liberum says Truscott is an "extremely experienced" housebuilder and should prove instrumental in delivering co's aim to deliver operational efficiencies

** Peel Hunt also sees the appointment as "positive"

** Peel Hunt and Liberum note as well that co's trading has been consistent with previous guidance (aniruddha.c.thomsonreuters.com@reuters.net)
