** Dialog Semiconductor (Xetra: 927200 - news) up 4.4 pct, hits all-time high on relatively healthy volumes in an otherwise quiet start to the year's trading in Europe.

** Stock was among the best performers among major European shares for 2014 with its 88 pct rise second only to hedge fund firm Man Group (LSE: EMG.L - news) 's 89 pct gain.

** Dialog a notable exception on the top-10 gainers' list across Europe which is dominated on the day by stocks from weaker segments of the market such as peripheral banks and the energy sector.

** Analysts remain firmly in favour of stock, with just the one "sell" rating among the 20 ratings tracked by StarMine. All three 5-star ranked analysts rate it a "buy" or "outperform".
