** Stoxx 600 Travel and Leisure Index among worst performing in Europe, down 4 pct, and only 2 points shy of hitting its lowest since Dec (Shanghai: 600875.SS - news) . 2014

** EasyJet (Other OTC: EJTTF - news) worst performer by far, down 17 pct and hitting 3-yr lows; worst single-day fall since 2004 and two-day fall ever

** Fellow airline operators also falling in volume: Flybe -12%, IAG down 9.4 pct, Ryanair down 9.2 pct, Lufthansa down 5.5 pct, Air France KLM down 5 pct

** IAG warned on profit on Friday; travel group TUI warned on Sunday (shares down 2.4 pct)
