BUZZ-Kingfisher: knocked by broker downgrade

** Home improvement retailer Kingfisher (LSE: KGF.L - news) top UK blue-chip faller in heavy volume & retreats from 7-mth highs hit recently as Barclays (LSE: BARC.L - news) cuts to "underweight" vs "equal-weight"

** Barclays says QE will have a limited effect on any imminent recovery in France, increased competition & over spacing are structural challenges for KGF in the UK, & Polish discretionary spending to suffer after zloty depreciation

** Co back in Nov had cautioned investors against expecting a quick recovery in France - the market that contributes more than half its profits

** Stock falls almost 2 pct, taking its drop since an April peak to 22 pct
