BUZZ-Los Angeles CARBOB jumps 10 cents on refiner buying
HOUSTON, Aug 15 (Reuters) - Los Angeles CARBOB differentials jumped roughly 10 cents a gallon on Monday as a refiner stepped into the market to buy barrels, dealers said.
* August Los Angeles CARBOB last traded at a 2.50-cent a gallon premium to the NYMEX RBOB contract
* September Los Angeles CARBOB traded at an 8-cent a gallon premium to RBOB futures
* Shell (LSE: RDSB.L - news) reported flaring at its 156,400 barrel per day Martinez refinery near San Francisco on Saturday
* A representative for Shell did not immediately respond to a request for comment (Reporting by Liz Hampton)
