BUZZ-Noble Group shares jump, snap four-day losing streak

** Noble Group Ltd shares rise 6.5 pct to S$0.905, up from S$0.845, the lowest since September 2013 hit the previous day

** The 30 pct slump in Noble (SES: E1:N21.SI - news) 's share price over the past month has thrust it onto the radar screens of Asian companies that want a bigger clout in global commodities trading

** Noble suffered after it was attacked by an obscure research firm for its accounting practices

** Noble said Prudential Plc (HKSE: 2378.HK - news) has increased its stake in the company to more than 5 pct and become a substantial shareholder

** The company's share price rises after four days of losses. It is poised for a weekly decline of 5.3 pct ($1 = 1.3869 Singapore dollars)
