BUZZ-Oil firm Genel Energy says Kurdistan Regional Government interrupted payments

** Genel Energy Chief Financial Officer Ben Monaghan told an oil conference in Oslo on Wednesday:

** "There has been an uninterrupted pay from the KRG (Kurdistan Regional Government) until recently."

** "It hasn't been the same day every month but it has been every month."

** "They had a particularly tough month in August because of, for instance, a terrorist attack to one of the fields and several other issues and that caused the recent pause in payment."

** "It is understandable that the payment has spilled, but certainly not desirable. But we do expect and hope that they will come back and for them to catch up in due time." (Reporting by Joachim Dagenborg, writing by Gwladys Fouche, editing by Terje Solsvik)
