BUZZ-Petra Diamonds: drops on profit miss

** Petra Diamonds (Frankfurt: 908093 - news) -8.6% after co reports 4.3 pct drop in FY adjusted profit

** EBITDA for year ending June 2017 down 4.3% to $157.2 mln (vs $183 mln consensus flagged by Panmure Gordon)

** Co says it resumed operations at Williamson mine in Tanzania after a four-day stoppage; says its parcel of diamonds seized by the government has not been released for export

** Liberum says market clearly still concerned that Petra is facing an "Acacia style situation" and will be hit with a large fine

** Acacia Mining (Frankfurt: 33A.F - news) said in early September it would stop underground work at its flagship Tanzanian gold mine as it coped with a government ban on exports of unprocessed ore

** Panmure Gordon: Tanzania will remain a concern until resolved; potentially diluting what we believe will be good news from Cullinan and Finsch in the coming months
