BUZZ-Sportech pays penalty for UK tax ruling

Sept 16 (Reuters) - ** Shares (Frankfurt: DI6.F - news) in gambling company Sportech (LSE: SPO.L - news) lost nearly a quarter of their value after British court overturned an earlier decision to repay 93 mln pounds ($151 mln) in tax to group.

** Company's market-cap stood at $255.4 mln as of Monday's close.

** A lower court had ruled last year that Sportech was entitled to the refund relating to VAT (sales tax) paid on its "Spot the Ball" soccer game.
