Global health charity Medecins du Monde (MdM) launched a legal challenge on Tuesday to a European patent held by the U.S. drugmaker which it accused of charging "exorbitant" prices for a hepatitis C drug.

The drugmaker said it entered into an agreement with Goldman, Sachs & Co to buy back $5 billion of its stock. Under the agreement, which forms a part of Pfizer's existing buyback authorization, about 150 million shares will be bought.
