BUZZ-UK gambling companies lower after media reports of TV ad ban

** Shares (Berlin: DI6.BE - news) in British gambling companies fall after The Times newspaper reports that the companies are due to be banned from advertising on television during the day

** William Hill (Frankfurt: 633847 - news) down 2.9 pct, Labrokes down 2.5 pct vs. Britain's midcap index which is up 0.2 pct

** Cenkos analyst Simon French says a ban could see a more rational approach to marketing from the industry

** "We suspect that operators will seek to find alternative ways to provide a call to action for customers around in-play betting," the analyst says
