BYU was very, very excited to take their COVID-19 tests on Wednesday night.
Like, extremely excited.
The Cougars, like every other team competing in the NCAA tournament, are getting tested for the coronavirus constantly. That process, for the millions of Americans who have experienced it already, isn’t necessarily a fun one.
BYU players, though, went out of their way to set up perhaps the most fun testing center in the country.

BYU players rescue Jesse Wade from elevator
It wasn’t just a fun testing experience that got them hyped up on Thursday.
They actually came together and rescued guard Jesse Wade, who got stuck in an elevator for more than 30 minutes.

The Cougars, who nearly knocked off top-seeded Gonzaga in the WCC conference game, will take on UCLA — which survived a tight overtime battle against Michigan State in the First Four on Thursday night — in their first round matchup Saturday. If they bring that testing energy to the court, BYU should have no problem finding its rhythm in Indianapolis.
