Cadbury scraps fan favourite chocolate egg just before Easter

We hate to be bringing you bad news so close to the Easter weekend, but Cadbury has announced that they'll be axing a fan favourite egg just before the chocolate season gets into full swing.

The Dairy Milk Egg ‘n’ Spoon will no longer be available to buy in shops from today, and by the looks of things they'd pretty much sold out last Easter, so you'll be hard pressed to find any left from last year either. Sob.

"We’re always listening to our Cadbury fans to ensure our Easter range includes their favourites and reflects their changing taste buds," says a spokesperson from Cadbury.

"We’ve made a few changes to reflect this and think our 2023 line-up is eggcellent, even if we do say so ourselves!"

The product has been on shelves for a whole ten years, so it's going to be hard to say goodbye to the novelty eggs. Housed in a purple egg box and containing a creamy white chocolate mousse with a spoon for scooping, they truly were delicious (and fun...).

While we're also disappointed with the news, there are some new Cadbury releases to get excited about. The brand new Cadbury Dairy Milk Chunky Egg is basically an extra thick version of a normal Dairy Milk egg, with almost double the amount of chocolate!

Also coming to join the ranks of the Dairy Milk family is a salted caramel version of the classic chocolate, can you think of anything better?
