Last year, she welcomed a baby girl into the world – and now Camilla Thurlow has revealed her engagement to boyfriend Jamie Jewitt.

The Love Island star, 31, who met her betrothed on the hit ITV dating show in 2017 shared a picture of the "perfect" ring he had given her in a post on Instagram.

Captioning a snap of the new parents with their three-month-old daughter Nell, the former bomb disposal expert wrote: "Only you could totally surprise me and at the same time be exactly the wonderful person I know and love."

The surprise announcement went down well with fans who left more than 532,000 'likes' and over 9,000 congratulatory messages.

Love Island co-star – and series winner – Amber Davies wrote: "This is amazing."

Marcel Somerville, who also appeared with them on the show, commented: "This makes me very happy."

Boxing pro Ramla Ali shared: "Congratulations to you both."

And a fourth added: "We’ve all been waiting for this. Congratulations guys!"

However, shortly before she and her 30-year-old other half, a model, revealed the happy news, Thurlow opened up about how she had seen her post-partum body shamed since giving birth in October.

In another post on Instagram, in which she wears the same pretty pink floral top, the mother-of-one explained that she had noticed comments from social media users suggesting that she was expecting once more.

Thurlow said: "This is just a friendly reminder that if a woman wants you to know she is pregnant, she will tell you.

"And wouldn’t that lovely, joyous news be so much better coming from her than you inadvertently causing embarrassment or offence, or worse, pain and sadness?"

Thurlow added: "FYI I’m not offended, I’m 3.5 months postpartum. My body spent 9 months adapting not just to carrying and birthing a baby, but to becoming a mother.

"My shoulders are broader now and thank goodness they are as I’m carrying a baby around most of the time."

She added: "My hips are wider and I’m so glad they are as they give me the support I need to scoop her up and chatter into her perfect little face.

"I know I have days ahead when I’ll need to perch her on that hip, while I multi-task with her by my side. And yes, I have more energy stores!

"I’ve never needed them so much in my life, and I’ve never been more grateful to my body for finding a way to constantly keep going."

The TV star finished by telling her followers: "I’m the luckiest woman in the world and those comments did not bother me, but just a gentle reminder that they could be hurtful to someone, however well-meaning they might be."

Thurlow's words resonated with fans who left more than 190,000 'likes', with many also expressing how shocked they were by the invasive comments she had been subject to.

One person told her: "How amazing are our bodies, that they can adjust and grow to accommodate a growing life."

Another insisted: "You're beautiful! Never let others bring you down! It takes a while for your body to start to feel slight more normal and you're doing amazingly!"
