Capitals' Dads video call T.J. Oshie's father who couldn't make Dads' trip
For those who watched the Washington Capitals win the Stanley Cup against the Vegas Golden Knights in 2018, you probably recall T.J. Oshie’s touching speech about his father — Tim — who is battling Alzheimer’s disease.

This season, unfortunately, Tim was unable to join the rest of the Capitals’ fathers for their annual Dads’ trip.
That didn’t mean he was left out, however. The fathers made sure that Tim could be a part of the festivities via a video call on Monday ahead of Washington’s game against the Blue Jackets in Columbus.

That’s an extremely classy and heart-warming move by the rest of the players’ fathers.
In a 2014 article by ESPN, T.J. Oshie detailed how his father continues to move forward and fight the awful disease.
“He's always rolled with the punches. He's always been good at keeping things going. He's always been good in these situations. If he was the other way, I think it would be harder on everyone else, but he handles it really well.”
We’re wishing only the best to Tim and the Oshie family as he continues to battle.
