Car crashes into railings at Skew Bridge near Shanklin

A CAR has crashed into railings and a fence at Skew Bridge near Shanklin tonight.

A section of Sandown Road, at Skew Bridge, has been closed to traffic and cars are having to turn around.

Police are advising they hope to be able to re-open the road within the hour.

The County Press understands there was no need for the fire or ambulance service to attend.

Motorists can divert via Green Lane and Southern Vectis buses are also going that way.
