Cardi B And Penn Badgley Had The Cutest Twitter Interaction

It turns out Cardi B and Penn Badgley are big fans of each other.

The 'WAP' rapper had the sweetest reaction to a resurfaced clip of the You actor praising her social media presence and authenticity. In the video from a January 2019 Netflix event in Manila, Philippines, Badgley admits that he feels awkward on social media, and that he admires celebs and influencers who have an authentic connection with their followers, like Cardi.

'It's this incredibly nuanced place to be, and despite what many might judge as "antics", she has an incredibly authentic relationship to [social media], and that's why people like her so much,' he says.

Cardi retweeted the clip with the response, 'OOOOMMFFFGGGGGG HE KNOWS ME !!! OMMMGGGG!!!!!!Yoooo like I'm famous famous.'

The Gossip Girl actor then retweeted the rapper's fangirl reaction with his own surprised response.

Badgley's original Cardi shout-out happened when Cardi was reaching new heights of her fame. Just one month later, she would win the Grammy Award for Best Rap Album, becoming the first female solo rap artist to take home the award. She was also on top of her social media game, sending the legendary clapback, 'Leave me alone I will dog walk you,' to Tomi Lahren that month.

As for Badgley, You has been an international hit since Netflix renewed the series after its first season on Lifetime. Season 3 just dropped on October 15, which may be the reason the clip resurfaced.

Fans have also been making memes of the show featuring Cardi, with some asking for a cameo. (It wouldn't be her first time acting; critics praised her performance in Hustlers.) Hopefully, Season 4 will at least have a scene of Joe Goldberg listening to 'WAP' during one of his stalking runs.
