Cardi B unveils debut apparel collection for Reebok

Cardi B has collaborated with Reebok on a brand-new apparel collection.

The Bodak Yellow rapper has served as a brand ambassador for the sportswear label since 2018 and dropped her debut footwear line last November.

But on Monday, Cardi surprised fans by unveiling a clothing range inspired by her own eclectic sense of style as well as "1990s-era carnivals and amusement parks".

"I'm so proud to announce my first apparel line with Reebok," she commented. "This collection gives every woman the product they need to feel sexy and confident; the waist-snatching tights and curve-hugging silhouettes make every body look amazing."

Cardi took a hands-on approach to the project, taking it upon herself to select all colour palettes and fabrics, with the line featuring lavender-hued gym attire, cropped sweatshirts, bralettes, and comfortable black leggings with sheer panels. There's also a nod to aerobic looks from the '80s, as the collection also includes a bodysuit with a high-waisted brief.

"We worked closely with Cardi to bring her vision for performance-wear that shapes and accentuates the body to life. She wants everyone to feel confident and contoured in these pieces," noted Reebok Cardi B apparel designer Morgen Kohn, while apparel product manager Kelly Dunn added: "Cardi wanted to ensure that her line offered inclusivity and accessibility for all, not only through sizing, but price point, design, and materials as well."

The size-inclusive collection will officially launch on 23 April.
