Casualty spoilers follow.

The new autumn trailer for Casualty has shed new light on Rash Masum's gang storyline.

Having kicked off last weekend, Rash (Neet Mohan) is seemingly being tricked by his childhood friend's sister Hafsa into helping to treat the children recruited into a drug organisation.

While Hafsa has assured Rash that she's actually working undercover, her motivations were questioned when she later secretly told a gang member she had the doctor under her thumb.

In this new footage, Rash seems to only get deeper involved in the drug gang, to the point where it looks like a kidnapping may even take place.

"When you're in, you're in," he's warned by one of the masked gang members.

Even his family members are eventually threatened before Rash is warned by one of the gang members that there is "no going back" for him at this point.

Also in this first-look footage, Stevie Nash (Elinor Lawless) plots her revenge on Ethan Hardy (George Rainsford) following their bad blood, warning: "I promise you, I'm going to take Ethan Hardy down!"

Elsewhere, new paramedic Sah Brockner (Arin Smethurst) grapples with the pressure of their new job after joining the team earlier in the month.

When Arin Smethurst's casting was announced, they spoke about the opportunity to bring transgender and non-binary representation to Casualty's main cast for the first time.

"I am honoured to be joining the spectacular Casualty family as a shiny new paramedic," Smethurst has said. "I'm so excited to portray this transgender, non-binary, salty but fiercely compassionate character and hope they are not only well-received, but also a source of awareness for those who have never met someone like me. I can't wait for you to meet Sah!"

Casualty airs on Saturdays on BBC One.
