Cat hilariously 'cracked under pressure' during harness training: 'Very lazy'

A cat named Egg got a bit scrambled during a harness training session. Now, he’s an internet sensation.

Decode and demystify Gen Z's latest online slang terms with In The Know's new glossary.

Egg is a kitten with over 75,000 followers on TikTok. Typically, cats don’t work well with regular leashes. They usually prefer harnesses for going on walks. Cats can be resistant to learning to do anything humans tell them to do, so it does require a bit of training. When Egg’s owners began the process, things got off to a rocky start.

“This is Egg, a very lazy British shorthair,” the owners said in a caption. “Our vet said we could harness train him if we started a couple of minutes at a time.”

They placed the tiny kitten into a small harness. The owners didn’t even hold the other end of the leash. Egg stood up, wearing the harness for about a second. But before he could take his first steps, it was like he shortcircuited. A caption referencing the cat’s line of thinking read, “processing.” Egg toppled over onto his side — as if some invisible force knocked the wind right out of him.

“He went from Egg to egg roll,” a user joked.

“Egg went over easy,” another said.

“Egg cracked under the pressure,” someone wrote.
