Watch: 'Immigrants' spill fruit and veg across busy road after fleeing from back of lorry
This is the moment a shocked resident watched what appeared to be illegal immigrants springing from the back of a lorry.
Britney Pope caught the moment several people fled from the lorry in North Petherton, Somerset, on Wednesday night on camera, but also caught her own reaction.
She can be heard on the footage shouting: “As if that is some illegal immigrant s***!,” adding “What the actual f***” repeatedly as she films the drama from a bedroom window.
The aftermath of the incident showed fruit and veg spilled across the carriageway of the A38 after the people fled.
The incident is the latest involving alleged immigrants arriving in the UK in lorries. In November police in Wiltshire arrested 15 people on suspicion of immigration offences after they were discovered in the back of a lorry.
That came just weeks after 39 Vietnamese immigrants were discovered dead in a lorry in Essex.

The clip begins with a lorry pulled over with its hazard lights on, before Ms Pope can be heard shouting.
After initially spotting the people, she continues: “Mate, that's some illegal immigrant s*** – outside me house! That's what the f****** banging was. Mate, I'm having a heart attack.”
The footage then appears to show several more people running away from the lorry in the opposite direction.
She adds: “There's so many! Oh my f****** God – I'm actually going to cry. What if I'm going to get stabbed? Do I call the police? What do I do?”
Police have confirmed they were called to the incident and arrested a number of people on immigration offences. No one is believed to have been injured.
As many as 10 police cars, a helicopter and two ambulances were called to the dramatic incident, while pictures from the scene show hundreds of fruit and vegetable crates scattered across the road after being removed from the lorry.
A spokesman for Avon and Somerset Police said: “We were called at around 8.15pm by a member of the public who’d witnessed several people exit the back of a lorry on the A38 at North Petherton.
“Officers attended and a number of people have been arrested on suspicion of immigration offences. No one is believed to be injured.”
