Champions League LIVE!

The Champions League round-of-16 continues tonight with the final first-leg encounters; Borussia Monchengladbach vs Manchester City and Atalanta vs Real Madrid.

City - looking for a 19th conseuctive win across all competitions - have been a domestic force for more than a decade but success in Europe continues to elude them. Could 2021 be the year?

Real Madrid, meanwhile, are where City want to be; the most successful team in the competition with 22 wins and claimed three in a row between 2016 and 2018.

However, since that success over Liverpool three years ago, Los Blancos have failed to make it past the round of 16. City and Ajax bettering them. Zinedine Zidane will know, in Atalanta, his side are facing an up and coming outfit.

Tuesday’s games saw a stunning overhead kick from Olivier Giroud see Chelsea win at Atletico Madrid as Bayern Munich dismantled Lazio in Italy.
