Channing Tatum Has Posted the Thirstiest and Most Blurry Pool Selfie of 2021

Earlier this week, emerging from a pool workout, Channing Tatum snapped a blurry glass door selfie. “Little Saturday grind session! Let’s gooooo 2021! Feeelin goodie good!!” he captioned the Instagram post...which became instantaneously adorned with flames and heart-eyed and drooling-faced emojis on an infinite scroll. The 40-year-old seemed to be teasing something, the exact something one comment— “another magic mike plz”—begged for on all our behalf.

Of course, there will be some future Magic Mike action, just not with Tatum onscreen. Alongside director Stephen Soderberg, Tatum will act as executive producer for an upcoming unscripted Magic Mike competition show, hitting HBO Max later this year. The network is reportedly on a casting search, looking for ten men who have “lost their magic” and will compete for a cash prize in Vegas to reclaim the glory.

Tatum, unfortunately, will not be one of these men. He’ll simply be a jacked (the most jacked?) executive producer on the project. He does, however, have plenty of other projects to be excited for. Late last year, Tatum wrapped work on the movie Dog, a role he called “the hardest job of my life.” Dog marked Tatum’s directorial debut, alongside longtime producer Reid Carolin. The film is due out in February 2022.

Since then, Tatum has started preparing for Lost City of D, an action rom-com with Sandra Bullock and Daniel Radcliffe. Last month, Tatum posted a video of himself horseback riding, writing “easing back into riding for an upcoming movie … haven’t ridden in a long time.”

Maybe Tatum’s pool-side selfie will be made more clear when Lost City of D comes out next year; he’ll be looking like that all through filming.
