Charter Communications (CHTR) Falls: Stock Falls 6.2%

Charter Communications, Inc. (CHTR) saw a big move last session, as the company’s shares fell by more than 6% on the day. The move came on pretty good volume too with far more shares changing hands than in a normal session. This reverses the recent trend for CHTR, as the stock is now up more than 4.5% since Oct 16, 2014.

The company has seen a mixed track record when it comes to current year estimate revisions over the past few weeks. Three estimates were revised lower while there was one upward revision. The consensus for loss estimates has widened in the recent days. This recent price action is discouraging, so make sure to keep a close watch on this firm in the near future, and especially on earnings estimates following the recent slump.

CHTR currently has a Zacks Rank #3 (Hold) while its Earnings ESP is negative.

Some better-ranked stocks in the services sector include LIN Media LLC (LIN), Sirius XM Holdings Inc. (SIRI) and Time Warner Inc. (TWX). LIN Media carry a Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy), whereas Sirius XM and Time Warner holds a Zacks Rank #2 (Buy).
