The countdown to Christmas is on. To help make things easier, Yahoo Finance will be regularly picking out the very best deals between now and 25 December to help you spend the least possible on food, drink and presents in the run-up to the festive season....

'Black Friday' and 'Cyber Monday' deals

Black Friday is an American craze that has seeped into the UK when, the Friday after thanksgiving (29th November this year), retailers offer special discounts. Cyber Monday (2nd December) is touted as the busiest day for online shopping - and again retailers have taken the opportunity to offer limited deals.

Get 40% off everything at Gap online and free delivery on 2nd December only.

Marks & Spencer is offering 20% off womenswear, menswear, lingerie and, two cases of wine and champagne on 2nd December only.
is offering triple points when you spend £60 or more online between Friday 29th December and 2nd December.

PC World
is offering a number of deals including, 10% off select iPads, Windows laptops and £75 off MacBooks until Monday.

ebay is offering up to 60% off in its Big Brand extravaganza, which runs until 2nd December. Bag savings on Furby Booms, Nintendo 2DS consoles, Converse trainers and iPad docks, among a number of other deals. 

Game is slashing the cost of a range of games, tablets and Blu-rays on Friday. Deals include £15 off GTA V (until 4th December), £15 off Battlefield 4 (until 8th January), £10 off and get free extra character on Disney Infinity (until 2nd December), £5 off After Earth Blu-Ray (until 2nd December) and £100 off Arnova 101 G4 10.1 Tablet.

Asda is running 55 offers online from 9am Sunday 1st December. The deals will include a range of electronics, including 15% off cameras and accessories, £10 off Call of Duty and 20% off selected personal electronics.

Storm is offering 10% off their entire range on 29th December in store and until midnight on Monday online.

Organic Surge is offering 60% off select products from 29th December until 2nd December, including body butter and gift sets.

Food shopping

New customers of Tesco can get £12 off their first shop and £5 cashback with Quidco when spending £60 or more.

New customers of Asda can get £9.50 cashback with Quidco when spending £75 or more (expires 8th December).

Tesco is offering 50% off cases of select wine - plus an extra 25% off if you buy two cases 

Sainsbury's will knock 25% off the cost if you buy six bottles or more of wine.

Get 5% cashback on spending with Majestic Wine (expires 2nd December) through Quidco.

Morrisons is offering 33% off when you buy six bottles of wine, sherry or port.
