Chelsea are looking to continue their incredible season by becoming European champions for the first time as they meet Barcelona in this evening’s Women’s Champions League final.

Emma Hayes’ side remain on course for an historic quadruple, having already clinched the Community Shield, League Cup and Women’s Super League titles, while progressing to the last-16 of the FA Cup.

Victory in Europe, however, would be their finest achievement, with the Blues already having become only the second English team to ever reach the Champions League final, following Arsenal’s success in 2007.

Barcelona have never won the competition either, though they were beaten finalists in 2019, and whichever club lifts the trophy will become the first to have seen both their men’s and women’s side win European club football’s biggest prize.

Kick-off time, date and venue

Chelsea vs Barcelona is scheduled for an 8pm kick-off on Sunday, May 16, 2021.

Chelsea vs Barcelona prediction

Chelsea will be under no illusions as to the quality they’re up against, with Barca having beaten the Blues’ major domestic rivals Manchester City 4-2 on aggregate earlier in the competition.

However, Emma Hayes’ side are riding high on the back of a terrific run and we think they’ll be bringing the trophy back to London.

Chelsea to win 2-1.
