Chelsea urged to sack Graham Potter and rehire Thomas Tuchel ‘before it’s too late’

Chelsea urged to sack Graham Potter and rehire Thomas Tuchel ‘before it’s too late’

Chelsea should issue Graham Potter an ultimatum and sack him if results do not improve, according to Jamie O’Hara.

The former Premier League player-turned-pundit has named Mauricio Pochettino or Thomas Tuchel as the ideal candidates to come in and reverse the Blues’ slide down the table.

Pochettino has been linked with a return to Tottenham if Antonio Conte departs in the summer while Standard Sport understand Paris Saint-Germain are considering rehiring Tuchel themselves.

O’Hara has claimed that Potter must show more “fire in his belly” to convince Chelsea fans he is the man to turn things around.

“If results don’t change I’d get rid of him now, before it’s too late say, ‘Right this hasn’t worked out’,” he told talkSPORT.

“You’ve seen QPR sacking managers, Southampton sacking managers, why can’t Chelsea sack a manager?

“What, because it’s Graham Potter and they’ve brought him in? You’ve got to sack him - if it’s not working, get rid of him. That’s the Premier League, he’ll go and get another job [because] he’s a top manager. It isn’t working, get someone else in.

“Go and get [Pochettino], go and get Tuchel back.”
