Everton head to Chelsea on Monday night, with the Toffees hoping to make it four straight wins in the Premier League and push their top-four claims.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side are in fifth, a point behind their hosts and have a game in hand, so they know that even a draw will represent a real opportunity for the future - but a victory against an in-form rival would finally hammer home to many that Everton’s long wait to dine at the top table could be coming to an end.

A narrow win over West Brom last time out keeps the Merseyside club in the hunt for a Champions League spot, while three clean sheets in a row are just as important as the points.

Prediction

Carlo Ancelotti’s side won’t make it easy for the Blues but Chelsea look confident and have a good game plan right now which will see them dominate the 90 minutes. They still need to develop a more clinical edge, but should just edge the match here. Chelsea 2-1 Everton.
