Chilean miner Antofagasta sees profits surge, raises dividend

LONDON, March 13 (Reuters) - Chilean miner Antofagasta (LSE: ANTO.L - news) on Tuesday reported a sharp rise in full-year earnings thanks to higher copper prices and said it would nearly triple its dividend.
Its 2017 earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) rose 59 percent to $2.6 billion, the company said in a statement.
Antofagasta (Other OTC: ANFGF - news) said it would raise its annual dividend by 177 percent to 50.9 cents per share.
