Yahoo Finance Chrissy Teigen Got a Tattoo Honoring Her Late Son Jack

Chrissy Teigen has come back to social media following the loss of her third child, a son she and husband John Legend named Jack. In early October, Teigen shared that she lost her unborn child, and after writing about her heartbreak and loss in a Medium essay, Teigen has now debuted a delicate new tattoo honoring her late son.
On November 1st, Teigen took to Twitter to announce she and Legend would be going on a "date night." In her tweet, she wrote, "I have gotten used to my naturally frowny mouth. It’s kind of wild how much I laugh and smile and how it’s still frowny, no matter what lol."
She then added a tweet later in the evening, in which she debuted a new wrist tattoo—delicate script that reads "Jack."

In the replies under the tweet, parents who have also lost children and gotten commemorative tattoos shared their stories. They spoke of how their ink reminds them every day of the love they have for their children, despite not being able to be with them physically.
One mother wrote, "I've been trying to find the best tattoo to represent my stillborn son for 13 years. I love your tattoo for jack." And Teigen responded, "Let's help you find something you love. Maybe one s shape, a swirl of air around you."

Others joined in on the conversation, all spitballing ideas of for potential commemorative tattoos. Some recommended hearts, while others thought a simple scripted name, like Teigen has, would be perfect. Some shared the idea of footprints or animals to represent a lost child.
Again, as was true when she shared photos from the hospital after Jack's arrival, Teigen opened up a forum for parents to talk about the losses they've encountered, the emotions they've shared, and how they cope, be it with tattoos or other methods.
Though he couldn't stay in this world for long, Jack will always be with Teigen and Legend, just like his mother's tattoo—and that symbolism is beyond powerful.
