Citi sees 35% chance of Scottish independence from UK in next 10 years

LONDON (Reuters) - There is a 35% chance Scotland will leave the United Kingdom in the next 10 years, Citi said in a research note on Wednesday.

Citi expects the Scottish national elections on May 6 to deliver a majority for the pro-independence Scottish National Party (SNP) but said that the UK government will prevent a referendum on independence in the near term.
